About

Frank D. Campbell is the creator of Cognito Money, a privacy-first personal finance application that keeps your financial data on your device—not in the cloud.

With a background in software development and a passion for financial privacy, Frank built Cognito Money to solve a problem he experienced firsthand: the trade-off between convenient budgeting tools and control over sensitive financial data.

Most budgeting apps require you to share your bank credentials with third-party aggregators like Plaid. Cognito Money takes a different approach—local-first architecture means your transactions, budgets, and financial reports never leave your computer unless you choose to back them up.

Frank writes about personal finance, budgeting strategies, financial privacy, and the intersection of technology and money management. He is also the author of Money Management for Teens, a beginner's guide to personal finance for young adults.
